Music is incredibly important to me, I grew up listening to my dad's albums and from the moment I was born was a dedicated Queen fan (a trait my daughter has picked up already too).
I've been singing in public since I was about 6 starting out in choirs at my school and the church my parents attended (I was head chorister for a while), then taking up drums properly when I was 15.
I'd always played my mum’s pans as a kid and tapped constantly so picking up sticks as soon as I could afford my own kit seemed obvious. I didn't take any formal lessons, finding I could just play without trying too much, learning rudiments from a book and just playing.
I've played in a few bands here and there but after my last band split a random guy I barely knew mentioned to my then wife that he needed a drummer. I figured, "why not?" and Jenna's was born. A few rock n roll stories later and we have the current line up you find now. A band like I've always wanted to play in.
I guess as the drummer I'm the driving force of the band, but I think it's fair to say the other guys would say that's pretty true off stage as well as on. I'm the organiser of the group so you may not be surprised to find that in my everyday job I practise law and try to keep as many people believing that I know what I'm doing as possible...
